Helping NOLA Students Gear Up for Success

One of the highlights on the calendar is the NOLA Back 2 School Fest, set for Saturday, July 26. This annual event, now in its ninth year, aims to ensure that 4,000 K–6 students in the Greater New Orleans area can kick off the school year with the supplies they need to succeed.
Hosted at Xavier University Center, the festival will offer pre-registered students a complimentary backpack filled with essential school supplies. Items include pocket folders, notebooks, pencils, glue sticks, and more. Those interested must pre-register online at nolabacktoschoolfest.org to guarantee their supplies, as availability is limited.

This year’s event is proudly sponsored by Shell and organized in partnership with Xavier University of Louisiana and the Greater New Orleans STEM Initiative. “The schoolchildren of New Orleans deserve our care, our respect, and our support,” stated Kevin McMahon, Shell Gulf of America's vice president of production assets.
